Talion and Celebrimbor are preparing to fight Sauron’s obscure legions in the launching images of Middle-earth: Shadow of War
Middle-earth: Shadow of War, the new chapter of the renowned Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment open-world saga set in the fantasy dimension of The Lord of the Rings is finally available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Here are the launch images released for the occasion by the authors of Monolith Productions.
According to developers led by Michael de Plater, Shadow of War continues the previous game’s narrative, which is based on J. R. R. Tolkien’s legendarium and set between the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, with heavy inspiration from director Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings film adaptations. The adventure continues the story of the ranger Talion and the spirit of the elf lord Celebrimbor, who shares Talion’s body, as they forge a new Ring of Power to amass an army to fight against Sauron.
Much of the narrative and gameplay innovations made by Monolith will be reflected in the new Nemesis, the procedural system that will allow players to experience ever-original experiences through the creation of their own army of Orcs with which to conquer the enemy forts, acquire new powers and prepare for the final battle against Sauron.
Middle-earth: Shadow of War is set for release this October, 10 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
