Here’s some new gameplay screenshots related to Next Car Game: Wreckfest, the spiritual successor of FlatOut expected to be released at the end of 2017 on PCs and early 2018 on PS4 and Xbox One
Bugbear Entertainment developers take advantage of Gamescom to show us a bunch of new gameplay screenshots from console version of Wreckfest, the ambitious racing game in development since 2014 with the provisional name of Next Car Game and currently available on Steam’s Early Access program.
Over the last few months, Wreckfest has received several updates that have contributed to enrich the digital offer of the title thanks to a completely new singleplayer features and a profound process of optimizing the graphics engine and gameplay mechanics related to physics and damage system.
The launch of Wreckfest is scheduled for the end of the year on a PC (Steam): the console version for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will come in the first months of 2018 and will probably include additional features for PS4 Pro and Xbox One X owners such as high definition textures, 4K resolution (naturally or upscaling), HDR, greater depth of field and sharper shadows.
According to the development team, the Early Access version is going to receive a number of updates in the following months:
The career mode: By achieving victories, players can get access to more and better cars and upgrade them with various parts
Car customization: A complex system, allowing the players to fully customize their cars for their individual needs, like more armor to withstand the competitors or more powerful engines
More cars, more tracks: THQ Nordic and Bugbear Entertainment will make sure a constant flow of additional content will be added on a regular basis for the remaining months of the Early Access program
New multiplayer server: To guarantee an outstanding racing and wrecking experience, an Official Wreckfest Server will be opened
