PS4, Xbox One e il crossplay: Microsoft prova a convincere Sony

Riusciremo mai a giocare su PS4 contro i nostri amici su Xbox One e viceversa?

“Absolutely, yeah. We’re talking to Sony about crossplay, we do partner with them on Minecraft and of course we would like to enable them to be part of that; one community, to unite gamers. So we’re talking to them and we’re hopeful that they’ll be supportive of it.”

“We have it working internally to allow crossplay between PS4 and Xbox One, but currently Sony won’t allow it :(

“We’ve got to be mindful of our responsibility to our install base. Minecraft – the demographic playing that, you know as well as I do, it’s all ages but it’s also very young. We have a contract with the people who go online with us, that we look after them and they are within the PlayStation curated universe. Exposing what in many cases are children to external influences we have no ability to manage or look after, it’s something we have to think about very carefully.”

No one wants hordes of 14 year olds…even worse..American 14 year olds crying “faggot” on PSN! Sony is more than right in what they’re doing. Why share their much bigger user base with MS?! They’d be stupid to. It’s a USP.

This is what happened when Sony tried to open but Microsoft closed the door forever… Intriguing how people want to forget about this a pretend Microsoft is a victim now:

“Maybe Microsoft wanted to break the barrier too? Here’s a Microsoft spokesperson saying “no,” while promoting how awesome the Xbox 360′s online service is: “Xbox Live delivers the best entertainment experience unmatched by anyone else, with 35 million actively engaged members. We have a high level of expectation for our game developers to ensure that all Live experiences remain top notch. Because we can’t guarantee this level of quality, or control the player experience on other consoles or gaming networks, we currently do not open our network to games that allow this cross-over capability.”
